Sold Out

This Tea set is made up of one teapot, with an arched handle, and a double bellied form. Finished with a transparent matte white glazed, with the dark iron in the clay coming through on to the finished surface and a wash of iron oxide made with a handmade brush. There are straining holes in the passage of the spout for larger leaf loose tea, fine loose leaf such as rooibos will need further straining on pouring.

The accompanying vessel is a small double bellied cup, with a painterly iron wash marking on opposite sides.

Teapot holds: 800ml
Tea vessel holds: 130ml

while pouring from tea sets, drips are a normal and unstoppable matter for non-mass produced teapots. I have found that each individual set has a way its likes to be handled and once you are familiar with your set, drips become minimal or non-existent.
